Altered Course for Tuesday 14th May

Image
near    Hi everyone, Mounties Management have made the the following decision to be able to open the course tomorrow    1 st  Hole          Tee moved up the sand bays . 2 nd  Hole         Played as normal. 3 rd  Hole          Tee off the second tier only. 4 th  Hole          Played as normal. 5 th  Hole          Tee moved up the fairway approx. 140m from pin. 6 th  Hole          Played as normal. 7 th  Hole          Tee moved right up the fairway near the little creek. Chip’n’putt tee approx. 40m out – players walk through bush over bridge. 8 th  Hole          Move up fairway and utilize the new wet weather tee.   9 th  Hole          Tee moved up fairway 130m from pin.   Looking to run this for 2 days (hopefully) long enough for the rest of the course to dry out.   NOTE: this is based on the forecast of no more rain. If we do have more rain overnight, we will have to re-assess first thing, however the forecast appears clear now for a number of days.    Regards,   Matthew Farrugia Venue

A Note from the Captain

Hello Golf Members How very frustrating it is not to be playing golf due to this miserable weather pattern, surely the rain must stop soon. I did walk the course yesterday and without stating the obvious, it was extremely wet in the normal areas, 5 th fairway, 9 th fairway etc. The lagoon was open from day one which has helped drain the water from the course.  On a more positive note, the green staff were able to mow the greens, including the two new greens. There is no doubt, the break from golfers playing has given both tees and greens an opportunity to revitalise. When we do eventually get back on the course, it will be amazing. Having just attended a Central Coast District meeting, I can assure you that most of the Coast courses are suffering the same fate. Brisbane Water Vets even had last Monday cancelled at Everglades, which shows you how sad things have got when Everglades is closed.  If you feel the need to play, Gosford Golf Club have simulated golf available, phone the Pro
