S S Pennants Results

Image
What can I say about today’s results from the Super SeniorPennants, not a lot really. It was a great day and the course was in good condition, most importantly we were all enthusiastic about the day but unfortunately that’s  where it ended Playing a extra hot low handicapped Magenta Shores team who last week  demolished Gosford 7 and  half to a half it was always going to be tough Although we never won a match Rod Michelsen, Phill Lucas and new to the stress of pennants Wayne Canning and Deiter hung in there whilst the rest of us tried hard but they were just to strong. Most of us were underdone and needed the run so watch out Gosford were coming after you next week.

Super Senior Pennants

The Super Senior Pennant (over 65 years) gets underway on Monday 1st August at Shelly Beach after a 2 year suspension. Our team takes on the favourites, Magenta Shores but we are ready for the battle.Steve Adlard and Peter Searle are out after failing fitness tests, but the newbees Dieter Hajduk, Wayne Canning and Mike Hogan are up for the challenge. If we are not the best team this year, we are vying for the title of best looking team with our sexy looking uniforms.  Stayed tuned and we will post our results. Go Breakers!!! Left to Right. Mike Hogan, Steve Adlard, Glenn Bainbridge, Rod Michelsen, Rick Petrie, Wayne Fuller, Jeff Perry,Wayne Canning,Dieter Hajduk, Peter Crowder and Phill Lucas

Were Back

Hi Everyone,  We finally have some good news;  From tomorrow morning will be open again as a Par 3 course as previously discussed with everyone.   Paths of travel have been marked out with yellow paint GUR areas have been marked off with white paint  Certain wet areas have been roped off with safety tape to try and keep people out Directional signs and chalk markings will also be utilised to help guide people to preferred paths of travel  We will be running 9 Hole competitions the Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, then look to increase up to 18 holes from then.   As mentioned previously, as the course begins to dry out, and other areas become playable the course will be extended, but this will need to be continuously assessed.  I will be sure to keep everyone up to date with changes.   Hopefully this is good news for everyone   Have a great Friday and weekend. Regards,  Matthew Farrugia  Venue Manager
