ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual General Meeting of the Breakers Men’s Golf Club will be

held in the Breakers Auditorium or lower meeting room on

SUNDAY, 9 NOVEMBER 2025

COMMENCING AT OR ABOUT 12.30PM.


AGENDA


1. Confirmation of the minutes of the previous Annual General Meeting of the Breakers

Men’s Golf club, held on 10 November 2024.

2. To receive, consider and, if thought fit adopt the Presidents Report.

3. To receive, consider and, if thought fit adopt the Treasurers report.

4. To receive, consider and, if thought fit, adopt the Annual Report Balance sheet.

5. To receive, consider and, if thought fit, adopt the Captains Report.

6. To receive, consider and, if thought fit, adopt the following resolutions in regard to

benefits, afforded to members of the Golf Committee;

(a) The reasonable costs of light refreshments and drinks at the last Committee Meetings,

prior to the AGM and Christmas.

(b) Committee Members to book themselves and their playing partners into competitions,

prior to the scheduled 5.00pm Friday booking time.

(c) The reasonable cost of a suitably embroidered club shirt.

7. To deal with any business of which due notice has been given.

8. To declare the Election of the Committee for the ensuing year.

9. To deal with any other business that the meeting may approve, of which due notice has

not been given.

2 025 SENIOR PENNANT ROUND 1RESULTS OUTSTANDING WIN FOR ‘A’ GRADE What a great start to the Senior Pennant competition. It has been a quite a few years since Breakers entered an ‘A’ Grade side  in the District Pennant. Our first match was held at Toukley GC. Conditions were great for golf and our A, B and C grade teams fired up and ready to go. Our opponents for the first match, Kooindah Waters. A grade led the way with Greg Duval, Adam Knight, Nick Merritt  (Captain), Greg Swanson, Alan Ball and Phil Carter. Most of the matches were remarkably close and Phil Carter securing a  half in his match to give the team an Historic Victory, 3 ½ to 2 ½ win. Wins for Alan Ball, Nick Merritt and Greg Swanson. ‘ B’ GRADE ‘B’ Grade had a disappointing start to their 2025 Pennants campaign,  going down 2 ½ - 1 ½. Rod Stanley, Nick Merritt and Wayne Fuller "The Club Championships have now been completed after 36 holes stoke play qualifying and 3 rounds of knockout match play.Alan Ball shot 2 great rounds of 71 to lead the A grade qualifiers while Dieter Hajduk led B grade qualifiers,and Mike Laws led C grade.  Unfortunately these  number ones were all knocked out in the first round of match play.
