AROUND THE GREENS Hi All, Just to keep everyone informed, the other week we unfortunately experienced an incident where the greens mower had a leak of hydraulic oil mid-mow. In these situations it is very likely the affected grass will die off which has been the case with the 7th. As this was a complete strip from the front of the green all the way to the back, our plan is to turf cut and replace the impacted area with existing green surface from the back of the green, to keep 80% of green in a playable state, and then purchase and re-turf the back end of the green. Coming into the cooler weather, and slower growth period we decided this to be the better option than trying to grow it back in from seeds. This will greatly minimise green downtime and impact on the playability of the green. Thank you for your patience while we get this addressed. Regards, Matthew Farrugia Regional Manager Central Coast Hospitality Mounties Group ...

I’m incredibly proud to share that the Harvey Norman Erina Charity Golf Day has raised $10,500 for Dementia Australia. What began as a simple idea for a golf day grew into something far more meaningful — made possible by the generosity, support, and community spirit of so many people. To our major sponsors — Harvey Norman Erina, Bosch, LJ Hooker Terrigal, Pine Needles Erina, Brisbane Water Glass, The Stevens Group, The Vicary Family, Sorella Law, Interior Makeovers, Swells Restaurant Terrigal, and Salty Living — thank you for getting behind this day in such a big way. Your support was instrumental in bringing it all together. To our major prize donors — Harvey Norman Erina (Electrical and Computers),Bosch, Hisense, Smeg, All Fired Up, Drummond Golf, Voco Gosford and the Central Coast Mariners — thank you for your generosity and for adding something extra special to the day. 2026 Mixed Foursomes Championship A strong field of 46 players teed off in beautiful conditions for this year’s Mixed Foursomes Championship at Breakers. The course was presented in excellent condition, with some interesting tee and pin placements adding to the challenge. It was also great to see the fifth hole back in play. There was plenty of enthusiasm among the competitors, especially from Wayne and Sheryn Fuller, who went the extra mile by staying overnight in their caravan in the car park to allow extra time for practice in the morning. With the late withdrawal of one of the favourites, Stephen and Janice—after an unfortunate incident where Janice briefly thought she was 21 again and joined in a game of football with her granddaughter—the field was wide open. The foursomes format always proves challenging, and there were certainly a few players taking shots from some very “interesting” positions around the course. Despite this, spirits remained high, and everyone was st...

AROUND THE GREENS . Once again, young teenagers on E Bikes have damaged our course this time on the 6th Green in broad daylight about 1.30 pm Wednesday. If you know or saw anything, please let Breakers management know. Please don't get involved with these idiots just make your presence known and take photos if possible. Check the Notice Board outside the Pro Shop for local rules addressing this situation. FAIRWAYS CORED Fairways have been cored but due to last week's rainfall have left them a bit messy. Check the notice boards for preferred lies status. Hopefully a little, short time pain for long term gain.

🏆 Pennants Final Round 2026 – What a Finish! The final pennants round for 2026 delivered everything you could hope for—and more. Our B and C Grade teams made the trip to Kooindah Waters to take on Shelly Beach, with plenty on the line. B Grade Leading the way were Peter Cartledge and Wayne Fuller, with Wayne playing what he called his final pennants match. The pair were in control from the outset, launching two booming drives off the first tee and never looking back, cruising to a 4 & 3 and a 3 & 2 victory respectively. Wayne, your contribution to the club over the years has been immense. Congratulations on a wonderful pennants career—well done mate 👏 Next up were Scotty Blackmore and Allan Hockley. Scotty faced a tough opponent and, despite fighting hard all day, went down 4 & 3. A strong effort against a quality opponent. Allan capped off a magnificent season in style, grinding out a 2 & 1 win in a match that went right down to the wire. A...

Update on Jeff Perry. I spoke to Jeff Perry this morning, he was transferred down to Royal North Shore and yesterday had a procedure yesterday to remove an infection from his brain. He is currently in ICU in good spirits and will be moved to a Neurology ward in the next day or so. He is expecting to be in hospital for several weeks. On behalf of the Men's club, I sent Jeff our best wishes for a speedy recovery. I am hoping to visit Jeff next week. Peter Crowder Captain
