101 Club Rules

Members  There has been some confusion re the rules around the 101 Club   The golf club did have a 103 club and a sign was printed and place on the notice boar in October 2022  At the June 2023 Committee meeting t was agreed that the 103 club would reduce to the 101 club with the following conditions:  Minimum age 75 years old Age and handicap must and up to 101    Players cannot use 101 conditions in the Club Championships. Foursomes and Mixed Foursomes or any NSW Golf sanctioned event (eg Keno Ambrose)]  101 Club Rules and Tees  To be eligible for the 101 club conditions players must be 75 years of age and over with a handicap of 26 Once a member is over 75 his handicap and age must total101 or over to be eligible to play from the following tees.    7th hole when blue markers are at the back you may hit from white.   8th and 17th holes you may hit from the yellow.  18th hole you may hit from the blue. 4.   On Saturday same as above for men.  THIS RULE APPLIES TO MON

Championships Conditions of PLay

Men’s Club Championships 2024 The Club Championships will commence with a 36 Holes Qualifying Stroke Event. Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th October.  Matchplay - Round 3 Saturday October 19th  Round 4 Sunday October 20th   Round 5 Final Saturday November 2nd •  Rounds 1 and 2 tee times and groups will be seeded in handicaps by the Committee  A Grade 0 - 12  B Grade 13 - 19  C Grade 20 - 36  •  All handicaps will remain static for the 5 rounds.  The Veterans Championships   is for all members over 55 and is only played over Round 1 & Round 2 of 36 holes.  • There will be an 18 Hole Stroke and Net daily Competition for Round 1 & Round 2 played under Championship handicaps.  • Players are requested to be ready for their tee times 15 minutes prior to tee off.  • Any player(s) late for their allocated tee time will be disqualified under rule 6-3.  • This event is under direct control of the Breakers Men’s Golf Committee. All protests and disputes must be referred to the Golf Match C

AGM Notice to Members ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual General Meeting of the Breakers Men’s Golf Club will be held in the Breakers Auditorium  SUNDAY, 10 NOVEMBER 2024  COMMENCING AT OR ABOUT 12.30PM. AGENDA 1. Confirmation of the minutes of the previous Annual General Meeting of the Breakers Men’s Golf club, held on 12 November 2023. 2. To receive, consider and, if thought fit adopt the Presidents Report. 3. To receive, consider and, if thought fit adopt the Treasurers report. 4. To receive, consider and, if thought fit, adopt the Annual Report Balance sheet. 5. To receive, consider and, if thought fit, adopt the Captains Report. 6. To receive, consider and, if thought fit, adopt the following resolutions in regard to benefits, afforded to members of the Golf Committee; (a) The reasonable costs of light refreshments and drinks at the last Committee Meetings, prior to the AGM and Christmas. (b) Committee Members to book themselves and their playing partner

Axeman Cup Calcutta

Calcutta Rules  Once all Players in the final have been decided the auction can begin. Each Player in the final is auctioned and punters can ‘buy’ that player in the Calcutta. Upon fall of the hammer, 25% of the auction amount goes to the charity and 75% of the funds go to pool. Once the auction of the entire field is completed, the final Calcutta Pool is determined.      Calcutta Pool The combined amount of funds raised by the sale of all players make up the Calcutta pool. Pool funds are then distributed to 1 st  (60%) 2 nd  (20%) and 3 rd  (10%)  All players purchased in the auction must be paid for when the hammer falls or the player will be re-auctioned. Axeman Shootout Finalists

Axeman update We have now come to the pointy end of the 2024 Axeman Shootout and the 10 finalists are listed below. I appreciate the great support the men’s golfers have  given to this competition especially as we have coupled  this event with fund raising for Prostate Cancer  Research. I am very pleased to announce the Axeman has raised  just over $1,000. It is the first time Breaker’s Men’s Golf Club have joined  forces to support this charity.
