9 Hole Handicap explained

There has been a fe questions from members wondering what happens to their handicap if they play the back nine or front nine twice. 

How it works 
When Golflink gets a 9 hole score posted, it holds that score until it gets another 9 hole score posted. 


Every 9 hole score has an individual slope rating, and Golflink adjusts handicaps every time 2x9 hole scores are uploaded, even if they are weeks apart. 

A  member had a 9 hole score at Shelly Beach two weeks ago and then a Breakers 9 hole score and was handicapped on the combined 18 hole score.

Change to Grades

Members, At the last match committee meeting the disproportionate differences in the numbers of players in each grade and concerns from the members was discussed  As of Saturday 16th September as long as there are a minimum of 60 players there will be 3 grades on Tuesdays and 2 Grades on a Saturday  Grades on Tuesdays will be : Division 1 : 0-15 Division 2 : 16 - 26 Division 3 : 27- 36 3 prizes will be paid for each grade calculated over total players Grades on a Saturday will be Division 1 ; 0-18 Division 2 : 19-36 3 prizes will be paid for each grade calculated over total players This will not effect the 101 Club which is played twice a month
