A Croc on the Course

 

Over the years the Breakers dress code has been challenged on a number of occasions but this takes the cake

Last weekend a player was sighted on the course wearing one golf shoe and one old croc.

Turns out that Don Ball was suffering Gout, and anyone that has had gout knows how painful it can be, refused to retire and give in to his playing partner and give him the pleasure of a forfeit, he somehow found an old croc and finished the round.

Whats more he went on to win and took the dollar from Peter Searle who brought this story to our attention claiming that he was distracted by the croc and shouldn't of had to pay the dollar, as it put him off his game -- any excuse will do Pete
