Club Championship Results

Hello Gentlemen,

With the uncertainty of not knowing if we would be able to play the Club Championships over four rounds of 9 or 18 holes, it was a great relief to the match committee that we didn’t have to implement the Contingency plan and we were able to play the 4 x 18 holes.

After 4 rounds of tense golf, in varying conditions from beautiful sunny days to near gale winds, another year of the club championships has been completed and we have three new worthy champions.

There are lots of stories from the championships some good and some bad but at the end of the day once your card was given to the ladies all you could do was go and have a drink to celebrate and discuss what might have been, if only.

The A Grade Stroke Winner was Dean Osborne with Steve Adlard second. Third place was shared by Glenn Bainbridge, Ashley Henderson and Michael Hogan.

B Grade Stroke Winner was Dieter Hajduk, second was Neal Carr and third place went to Wayne Fuller.

C Grade Stroke Winner: Paul Harper. Second Gavin Hunt and third place John Roche.

The A Grade Net Winner:  Dean Osborne, Second Steven Dignam, third place Glenn Bainbridge and Ashley Henderson.

B Grade Net Winner: Dieter Hajduk, second Neal Carr, Third Wayne Fuller.

C Grade Net Winner: Paul Harper, Second Garry Evans, Third place Steve O’Malveney

The 2021 Champions : Dean Osborne (A) Dieter Hajduk (B) Paul Harper (C)

The Vets Championship Stroke for any member over 55 was run in conjunction with the Championships, with Dean Osborne winning, Steven Adlard coming second, Glenn Bainbridge and Michael Hogan equal third.

The Vets Net Championship was won by Dean Osborne, Deiter Hajduk runner up and Steve O’Malveney third.

On behalf of the committee and the men golfers who took part in the Championships, we would like to say a special thanks to the Lady members, Gill Wilson, Trace O’Meara, Sheryn Fuller and Jill Lavery, assisted by Nicky, who kindly shared the duties over the four days checking scores and keeping the leader board up to date and managing to sip the odd glass of bubbly.
Great job ladies, happy to have you back next year.

I would also like to give a special mention to Glenn Bainbridge for all his assistance in making the Club Championship a great success and I would also like to congratulate Wayne Hemsly and his team for preparing the course in such great condition, especially the greens.
