"The Alan Black Memorial day was played on Thursday 30th December.

The organiser,Breakers life member Alan Sinclair said the event was first played around 1980 with Big Al organising the golf day until he passed away in 2002.

The day was then renamed in his honour and was expanded from a 9 hole ambrose comp to include a round robin bowls competition as well.
