From The President
I am writing to update you on the latest happenings at our golf club.
Firstly, I would like to mention that the weather has been quite challenging in recent weeks.
Despite this, our team has been working hard to maintain the course to the highest possible standard.
As you may be aware, Mounties have plans to construct a new wall on the 9th hole, this should start on Monday 22nd May subject to weather conditions
When this work starts there will be a temporary green and members will have to double back over the bridge near the nursery.
We understand that this may cause some inconvenience, but we hope that you will bear with us as we carry out this important work.
I am pleased to inform you that the working bee that was held last on Wednesday was a great success.
We were able to complete the crushed granite path from the tee to the concrete on the 6th hole.
We are happy with the progress that has been made, and we thank all the volunteers who took part in this project.
Also the grass on the 3rd tee is almost ready for play.
Finally, I would like to reassure you that we are doing everything we can to maintain the greens under the trying circumstances that we are currently facing.
We know that the greens are one of the most important aspects of the course, and Wayne the course superintendent, is doing the best he can to ensure that they are in the best possible condition for your enjoyment.
We will have more course updates after next weeks grounds meeting.
As always, we welcome your feedback and suggestions.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch at info.breakersgolfclub@gmail. com if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you for your continued support of our golf club.
Cheers,
Glenn Bainbridge
President
