Super Senior Report

Super Seniors Final Blog for the Year.

On Monday last we played Shelley Beach at Gosford Golf Club, our captain told all players we have to beat our arch rivals, so the team responded with a resounding win 5&3,

Peter C couldn't get his game going and lost 5&3 the score didnt indicate how Peter played he just had no luck

The little bulldog Wayne decided he wasn't going to let that happen to him winning his match 2&1,

Peter S came next despite having rib cartilage problems fought tenaciously & ran out winner 4&2,

John Roche complained he was being moved from position 8 to 5 competitor but need not have worried winning 2&1,

Mal Smith was next up & lead most of the way but succumbed in the the last few holes going down 2,

Captain Glen came with his A game & demolished his opposition player 5 & 4,

Our final pairing of Steve Adlard & Greg Swanson came next Steve took our old Breakers member Tom Smith to the 18th hole where Tom had all the luck & Steve had none.    Tom shanked his wedge towards the car park out of bounds hitting the concrete cart path beside the 18th green heading straight out of bounds when it hit corner post which was no more than 600mm high and dropped in bounds by 150mm, unfortunately Steve lost 1 down,

Greg Swanson was in fine form playing number 1 demolished his opponent 4 & 3.

I would like thank all the players who participated this year for their participation, As this is the last blog of the year for Super Seniors we have enjoyed the Spirit in which Super Seniors is played and look forward to competing next year.

Thanks Jeff .
