2026 Mixed Foursomes Championship

A strong field of 46 players teed off in beautiful conditions for this year’s Mixed Foursomes Championship at Breakers. The course was presented in excellent condition, with some interesting tee and pin placements adding to the challenge. It was also great to see the fifth hole back in play.

There was plenty of enthusiasm among the competitors, especially from Wayne and Sheryn Fuller, who went the extra mile by staying overnight in their caravan in the car park to allow extra time for practice in the morning.

With the late withdrawal of one of the favourites, Stephen and Janice—after an unfortunate incident where Janice briefly thought she was 21 again and joined in a game of football with her granddaughter—the field was wide open.

The foursomes format always proves challenging, and there were certainly a few players taking shots from some very “interesting” positions around the course. Despite this, spirits remained high, and everyone was still sharing stories and laughs back in the clubhouse afterwards.
