Foursomes Conditions of Play

MENS FOURSOMES CHAMPIONSHIPS CONDITIONS OF PLAY Only financial members of Breakers Golf Club are eligible to enter the Competition. Normal foursomes play as per rule 22.”During any stipulated round the players must play alternately from the teeing grounds and alternately during the play of each hole. Penalty strokes do not affect the order of play.” That is the same player must tee off on all odd numbered holes and his partner must tee off on all even numbered holes (1 to 27). APPLICATION OF HANDICAPS:- A Grade 0-12              B Grade 13-19                        C Grade 20-36. The individual championship handicap is your calculated daily handicap for the  Blue/. white course (slope rating 117). The 27 hole foursome handicap is half of combined 18 hole individual handicaps. If players from different grades play together, their grade is determined by the lowest individual handicap. The higher handicap player must reduce his 18 hole handicap for the day to the upper limit of the grade

Mixed Foursomes Great Success

On Saturday we held the 2022 Mixed Foursomes Championship in what can only be described as near perfect conditions. The sun was shining, the course looked terrific and there was a lots of laughter and stories in the clubhouse at the end. The overall Stroke winners were Dean Osbourne and Chun Kim with Steve and Janice Adlard second and Glenn Bainbridge and Sally Hopkins third. The Overall Net winners were Tony and Jeanice Gibson with Peter Crowder and Vicky Duesbury second and Gary Burke and Jill Lavery third A special thank you to Bev Barendse from Coast Realty for sponsoring the day

Sunday Bill Birch

Attention Members Due to Sunday being rained out again we have rescheduled the 3rd round of the Sunday  Bill Birch to Sunday 30th October Its not a good situation having to cancel and move competitions but the match committee is doing their best with the conditions we have to deal with. Good luck to all those that are still in the knockout competition.
