Captains Update

A Message from the Captain.
t's been a long year and it seems that Covid has not gone away yet, however, we play on and enjoy every day we get to play golf. Following are a couple of updates to finish off the year. 



Amendments and additions to the 2022 Fixture Book 

Captains Day Members please be advised that the Captains Day scheduled for Saturday 22nd January has now been rescheduled for Saturday 30th April. Keep an eye on the blog for further updates. 

Men's Foursomes 
The 2022 Men's Foursomes has been scheduled for Sunday 29th May. 2022. 

Friday Night Draw 
There will be no Friday Night Draw on Friday 24th with the next Friday Draw being held on 31st December at 5pm. There will be a Ball Giveaway in conjunction with the draw. 
Members are asking where all the balls are coming from? The balls that are not collected after 90 days are then put into stock. 
The committee decided to give back to the members from time to time. 

Members Remember PICK UP YOUR BALLS FROM THE PRO SHOP before they get purged. 

Pennants Teams 
Pennant Teams will be selected on Sunday 2nd January after the comp closes. Those selected will be notified and invited to a team meeting on 4th January at 6pm. 

2022 Fixture Books 
There are still some 2022 Fixture Books available in the Pro Shop. More will be available in the New Year, you will be able to pick them up at the Friday night draw or in the Pro Shop. 

Finally, the President Glenn Bainbridge, Captain Peter Crowder and the golf committee wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, Stay safe and healthy and we will see you on the course in 2022.

Change to Grades

Members, At the last match committee meeting the disproportionate differences in the numbers of players in each grade and concerns from the members was discussed  As of Saturday 16th September as long as there are a minimum of 60 players there will be 3 grades on Tuesdays and 2 Grades on a Saturday  Grades on Tuesdays will be : Division 1 : 0-15 Division 2 : 16 - 26 Division 3 : 27- 36 3 prizes will be paid for each grade calculated over total players Grades on a Saturday will be Division 1 ; 0-18 Division 2 : 19-36 3 prizes will be paid for each grade calculated over total players This will not effect the 101 Club which is played twice a month

2023-24 Golf Committee

  Members On Sunday 12th November the Breakers Mens Golf Club held the 2023 AGM. The committee for the 2024 year were elected and are as follows President : Glenn Bainbridge Vice Pres:  Wayne Fuller Captain:   Peter Crowder Secretary:  Bruce Grant Treasurer: Brian Ferrao Committee: Adam Quayle, Phillip Lovebridge, Garry Burke and Jeff Perry Patron     : Jeff Perry As a committee we look forward to a positive 2024 for all members of Bfreakers Mens Golf Club
