Challenge Cup

After 2 long years the Challenge Cup returned following cancellations forced upon us by Covid.  

Club teams of 3 women and 3 men, one from each grade, took to the course at Everglades looking to capture the Cup for their respective clubs. 
Breakers were represented by Glenn Bainbridge and Vicky Duesbury in A Grade, 
Dieter Hajduk and Jill Lavery in B Grade and Kevin Porter and Judi Eaton in C Grade

After the dust settled local knowledge played an obvious part in the result with Everglades running out the winners with an aggregate stableford score of 189 pts. Breakers posted an aggregate score of 185 with Kooindah Waters a point further back. 

Well done team Breakers to come second after all the interruptions due to the weather it was a great result

Members, At the last match committee meeting the disproportionate differences in the numbers of players in each grade and concerns from the members was discussed  As of Saturday 16th September as long as there are a minimum of 60 players there will be 3 grades on Tuesdays and 2 Grades on a Saturday  Grades on Tuesdays will be : Division 1 : 0-15 Division 2 : 16 - 26 Division 3 : 27- 36 3 prizes will be paid for each grade calculated over total players Grades on a Saturday will be Division 1 ; 0-18 Division 2 : 19-36 3 prizes will be paid for each grade calculated over total players This will not effect the 101 Club which is played twice a month
