Introducing Matthew Farrugia

There have been a lot of blog stories lately re decisions made about the golf course and I have been asked by a number of the members “who is Matthew Farrugia”

Matthew Farrugia  Breakers Venue Manager

Matthew started in the Club industry at 19 years of age at Seven Hills Toongabbie RSL Club as a GPU whilst finishing his Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management.

His drive and passion for the industry grew as he became a Club Supervisor by the age of 21.

3 years later he was promoted to Duty Manager and then added the Gaming Portfolio to his responsibilities soon after.

Matt also began to oversee Promotions and Marketing, taking on a more senior role in Club Group in his late 20's, until being promoted to Group Gaming Manager, which he has been in for the past 9 years.

The role evolved into more of an Operational role, to which he has been a vital part of multiple amalgamations as the Club Group expanded from 2 to 5 Clubs, as well as many minor and major renovations, the latest being a 30 million renovation at the main site at Seven Hills RSL.

After making the decision with his family to relocate from Sydney to the Central Coast, Matt is excited after 17 years with 7Hills RSL Group to be taking the next step to become part of the Breakers and Mounties Group team, and part of the local community.

The golf committee have great faith in Matthew to do the right thing by the golf members and continue to make decisions in the best interest of the golf course and the golf members.
