2025 SENIOR PENNANT RESULTS

 THIRD ROUND v SHELLY BEACH

 ‘A’ GRADE SUFFER FIRST DEFEAT

Round three was held at Everglades The course was in very good condition with good grass on the fairways. Nick Merritt’s team suffered its first defeat of the season, going down 4-2. Good wins for Lucas Binns and Greg Swanson.

 

‘B’ GRADE ENJOY A GREAT WIN OVER SHELLY

‘B’ Grade came out with all guns blazing. Having had one defeat and one draw.  Mark Chilvers led the way with a hard-fought win, Taking his match to the 18th and winning 1 Up, sinking a 12 foot putt to secure the point.

Captain Wayne Fuller was in good form and at one stage he was 4 up and finished up winning 2 up.

Adam Quayle playing his match, secured a half point. His game was nip and tuck all the way. His half point secured the win.

‘C’ GRADE

‘C’ Grade travelled to Everglades with high hopes of a win. Unfortunately, they could only manage one win and one tied match, losing 2 ½ to 1 1/2

Good wins for Darren Reeves, winning 2 up and Matt Edgehill’s match could have gone either way.

A big thank you to Jeff Perry for his great work managing the teams and organising the carts.

No match this week as we have a bye. Breakers play host to 2 matches.

2 025 SENIOR PENNANT ROUND 1RESULTS OUTSTANDING WIN FOR ‘A’ GRADE What a great start to the Senior Pennant competition. It has been a quite a few years since Breakers entered an ‘A’ Grade side  in the District Pennant. Our first match was held at Toukley GC. Conditions were great for golf and our A, B and C grade teams fired up and ready to go. Our opponents for the first match, Kooindah Waters. A grade led the way with Greg Duval, Adam Knight, Nick Merritt  (Captain), Greg Swanson, Alan Ball and Phil Carter. Most of the matches were remarkably close and Phil Carter securing a  half in his match to give the team an Historic Victory, 3 ½ to 2 ½ win. Wins for Alan Ball, Nick Merritt and Greg Swanson. ‘ B’ GRADE ‘B’ Grade had a disappointing start to their 2025 Pennants campaign,  going down 2 ½ - 1 ½. Change to Grades

Members, At the last match committee meeting the disproportionate differences in the numbers of players in each grade and concerns from the members was discussed  As of Saturday 16th September as long as there are a minimum of 60 players there will be 3 grades on Tuesdays and 2 Grades on a Saturday  Grades on Tuesdays will be : Division 1 : 0-15 Division 2 : 16 - 26 Division 3 : 27- 36 3 prizes will be paid for each grade calculated over total players Grades on a Saturday will be Division 1 ; 0-18 Division 2 : 19-36 3 prizes will be paid for each grade calculated over total players This will not effect the 101 Club which is played twice a month
