Senior Pennant report 

A grade WIN again 
On Sunday 2nd March we faced a tough Mangrove Mountain team at Gosford GC, the course not looking its best with a few issues on a couple of the greens. 

Great wins for Greg Swanson and Phil Carter, both winning 4 and 3, Alan Ball and Dean Osbourne our other 2 winners. 
Very close games for Nick Merritt and Brad Stewart. Both losing at the 18th. 
That is now 3 wins for A graders. Final score 4 – 2 to Breakers. Next week we travel to Magenta Shores and take on Everglades. Well done Nick and his team, lets hope we can make 4 wins. 

B Grade win a close Match 
Wayne Fuller and his team had a tough match against the Mangrove B grade side. 
Mark Chilvers and Scott Blackmore winning the first two matches respectfully. Andrew McSwan losing a close match. 
It was left to Captain Fuller to secure the half point for the win. 2 down with 2 to play, Wayne was determined to not loose his match. He managed to win the last two holes and squared the match to secure the half point and the win for the team. 2 ½ - 1 ½. 

C Grade Shared the points 
It is fair to say that the c Grade is probably the hardest grade to win. 
Every team has a strong side with ex B Graders just slipping into to C grade at the right time. 
We had great wins for Chris Mott 5 and 4 and Matt Edghill winning 6 and 5. 
We lost our other two matches to similar scores. 
A big thank you to Jeff Perry for all his help in managing C Grade and looking after the result sheets etc. 

Good luck to everyone at Magenta Shores. Let’s hope the greens are not as fast as they were two weeks ago when I played there. A grade Tee off at 11.30 am

2 025 SENIOR PENNANT ROUND 1RESULTS OUTSTANDING WIN FOR ‘A’ GRADE What a great start to the Senior Pennant competition. It has been a quite a few years since Breakers entered an ‘A’ Grade side  in the District Pennant. Our first match was held at Toukley GC. Conditions were great for golf and our A, B and C grade teams fired up and ready to go. Our opponents for the first match, Kooindah Waters. A grade led the way with Greg Duval, Adam Knight, Nick Merritt  (Captain), Greg Swanson, Alan Ball and Phil Carter. Most of the matches were remarkably close and Phil Carter securing a  half in his match to give the team an Historic Victory, 3 ½ to 2 ½ win. Wins for Alan Ball, Nick Merritt and Greg Swanson. ‘ B’ GRADE ‘B’ Grade had a disappointing start to their 2025 Pennants campaign,  going down 2 ½ - 1 ½. Change to Grades

Members, At the last match committee meeting the disproportionate differences in the numbers of players in each grade and concerns from the members was discussed  As of Saturday 16th September as long as there are a minimum of 60 players there will be 3 grades on Tuesdays and 2 Grades on a Saturday  Grades on Tuesdays will be : Division 1 : 0-15 Division 2 : 16 - 26 Division 3 : 27- 36 3 prizes will be paid for each grade calculated over total players Grades on a Saturday will be Division 1 ; 0-18 Division 2 : 19-36 3 prizes will be paid for each grade calculated over total players This will not effect the 101 Club which is played twice a month
