Mixed Keno Qualifier:
Saturday saw 25 mixed teams compete in the 2025 Keno qualifier, with two teams progressing to Stage 2. The sun was shining, and the field is to be congratulated for finishing on time. The competition was fierce, but the Ambrose format ensured plenty of fun and camaraderie. Congratulations to the qualifiers: 





First qualifiers Peggy and Peter Searle – Gross 68, Net 59.25 
Runnerups Patty and Scott Beattie – Gross 70, Net 60. We wish both teams the best of luck at the regionals.

Men’s Keno Qualifier:

Tuesday brought out a strong field of 53 men’s teams for this year’s Keno qualifier. The pairing of Phil Carter (last week’s Monthly Mug winner) and Warren Nash (a 2024 qualifier) proved unstoppable, carding a Gross 63 and Net 57.25. According to their playing partners, “Phil was putting them in from everywhere!”


As a member of the runners-up team had already qualified in the mixed event, third-place getters Gary Evans and John Montgomery (Gross 68 Net 59.5) secured the second spot for Stage 2.

The new green is looking superb, and the concreting is ready for traffic. There’s extra prize money


up for grabs, and Breakers are hosting a sausage sizzle – after the game for the morning groups and before the game for the afternoon groups

2 025 SENIOR PENNANT ROUND 1RESULTS OUTSTANDING WIN FOR ‘A’ GRADE What a great start to the Senior Pennant competition. It has been a quite a few years since Breakers entered an ‘A’ Grade side  in the District Pennant. Our first match was held at Toukley GC. Conditions were great for golf and our A, B and C grade teams fired up and ready to go. Our opponents for the first match, Kooindah Waters. A grade led the way with Greg Duval, Adam Knight, Nick Merritt  (Captain), Greg Swanson, Alan Ball and Phil Carter. Most of the matches were remarkably close and Phil Carter securing a  half in his match to give the team an Historic Victory, 3 ½ to 2 ½ win. Wins for Alan Ball, Nick Merritt and Greg Swanson. ‘ B’ GRADE ‘B’ Grade had a disappointing start to their 2025 Pennants campaign,  going down 2 ½ - 1 ½. Club Championship Results

Rod Stanley, Nick Merritt and Wayne Fuller "The Club Championships have now been completed after 36 holes stoke play qualifying and 3 rounds of knockout match play.Alan Ball shot 2 great rounds of 71 to lead the A grade qualifiers while Dieter Hajduk led B grade qualifiers,and Mike Laws led C grade.  Unfortunately these  number ones were all knocked out in the first round of match play.
