PROSTATE CANCER AWARENESS WEEK  

THE AXEMAN SHOOT OUT


SEPTEMBER

September has become an incredibly special Month in our Calendar for Breakers Men’s Golf. Last year the Men’s Golf Club raised almost $4,000 and Mounties kindly donated an additional $2,000 a total of $6000 went to Central Coast Prostate Cancer support group and the Prostate Cancer Research. According to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia Approximately 1 in 5 Australian men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime, considering this statisic at least one of your mates playing in your group will be directly affected by this cancer, let’s all fully support this worthwhile campaign.

Lance is donating extra prizes for Competition days Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday between the 9th and 14th, September, solely to raise awarness of Prostate Cancer.

In conjunction with our September Stroke and Stableford competitions you have an opportunity to qualify for the SHOOTOUT FINAL on OCTOBER 12.

The Finalists: Will be the best 5 Stableford scores in both grades (A grade 0-18, B grade 19-36) recorded during our September competition will qualify.

The Final: 10 finalists all hit off the 1st, worst score is "AXED", in the case of a tied score on a hole, a chip off will decide who goes through to the next hole.

ITS EASY TO ENTER – ONE PAYMENT OF $20, Payable in cash at the Pro Shop or at the Friday Draw.

2 025 SENIOR PENNANT ROUND 1RESULTS OUTSTANDING WIN FOR ‘A’ GRADE What a great start to the Senior Pennant competition. It has been a quite a few years since Breakers entered an ‘A’ Grade side  in the District Pennant. Our first match was held at Toukley GC. Conditions were great for golf and our A, B and C grade teams fired up and ready to go. Our opponents for the first match, Kooindah Waters. A grade led the way with Greg Duval, Adam Knight, Nick Merritt  (Captain), Greg Swanson, Alan Ball and Phil Carter. Most of the matches were remarkably close and Phil Carter securing a  half in his match to give the team an Historic Victory, 3 ½ to 2 ½ win. Wins for Alan Ball, Nick Merritt and Greg Swanson. ‘ B’ GRADE ‘B’ Grade had a disappointing start to their 2025 Pennants campaign,  going down 2 ½ - 1 ½. Rod Stanley, Nick Merritt and Wayne Fuller "The Club Championships have now been completed after 36 holes stoke play qualifying and 3 rounds of knockout match play.Alan Ball shot 2 great rounds of 71 to lead the A grade qualifiers while Dieter Hajduk led B grade qualifiers,and Mike Laws led C grade.  Unfortunately these  number ones were all knocked out in the first round of match play.
