CANCELLATION OF THE 2025 PENNANT

  • Member Update – 22 August 2025

 Dear Captains and Club Officials,

 The NSW SSGA Committee met at 2pm today and after careful consideration of the prevailing weather and course conditions, we agreed that the time has regrettably come to call an end to this year’s competition.

We will touch base with everyone in more detail early next week.

The immediate priority now is to ensure that all scheduled games are cancelled and the much-needed tee times are made available to members and guests.

2 025 SENIOR PENNANT ROUND 1RESULTS OUTSTANDING WIN FOR ‘A’ GRADE What a great start to the Senior Pennant competition. It has been a quite a few years since Breakers entered an ‘A’ Grade side  in the District Pennant. Our first match was held at Toukley GC. Conditions were great for golf and our A, B and C grade teams fired up and ready to go. Our opponents for the first match, Kooindah Waters. A grade led the way with Greg Duval, Adam Knight, Nick Merritt  (Captain), Greg Swanson, Alan Ball and Phil Carter. Most of the matches were remarkably close and Phil Carter securing a  half in his match to give the team an Historic Victory, 3 ½ to 2 ½ win. Wins for Alan Ball, Nick Merritt and Greg Swanson. ‘ B’ GRADE ‘B’ Grade had a disappointing start to their 2025 Pennants campaign,  going down 2 ½ - 1 ½. Rod Stanley, Nick Merritt and Wayne Fuller "The Club Championships have now been completed after 36 holes stoke play qualifying and 3 rounds of knockout match play.Alan Ball shot 2 great rounds of 71 to lead the A grade qualifiers while Dieter Hajduk led B grade qualifiers,and Mike Laws led C grade.  Unfortunately these  number ones were all knocked out in the first round of match play.
