Trivia Night 2025

Captain, Pete's Report


A great turnout with 70 quizzers enjoying the evening. Alan the Brains Trust quizzer went down extremely well and for mine, was well worth the money. Chris Mott won the Lolly Jar and kindly offered the prize up for auction. Bidding started at $30 and eventually was sold to Andy Connolly for the sum of $120. Always though Andy was a bit of a sweety.




A big thank you to the team from RV Hub who seemed to have purchased most of the raffle tickets, winning heaps of prizes, most given away or sold. The money they received was then donating back to the fund raiser. Many thanks to RV Hub at Erina.

The Chipping and Putting comp were well supported with David Coxall winning the Chipping and Max Szwarcberg winning the Putting.



The winners of the Trivia were the team Periwinkle, which did include Life Members Jeff Perry and Bruce Grant.




Thank you to Jill Lavery, Linda Ball and Brian Ferrao for selling the raffle tickets. Gill Wilson for selling the Lolly Jar guesses. Chris Mott for running the putting. (We did have a request to make the holes bigger) and Mark Chilvers for running the chipping.

2 025 SENIOR PENNANT ROUND 1RESULTS OUTSTANDING WIN FOR ‘A’ GRADE What a great start to the Senior Pennant competition. It has been a quite a few years since Breakers entered an ‘A’ Grade side  in the District Pennant. Our first match was held at Toukley GC. Conditions were great for golf and our A, B and C grade teams fired up and ready to go. Our opponents for the first match, Kooindah Waters. A grade led the way with Greg Duval, Adam Knight, Nick Merritt  (Captain), Greg Swanson, Alan Ball and Phil Carter. Most of the matches were remarkably close and Phil Carter securing a  half in his match to give the team an Historic Victory, 3 ½ to 2 ½ win. Wins for Alan Ball, Nick Merritt and Greg Swanson. ‘ B’ GRADE ‘B’ Grade had a disappointing start to their 2025 Pennants campaign,  going down 2 ½ - 1 ½. Club Championship Results

Rod Stanley, Nick Merritt and Wayne Fuller "The Club Championships have now been completed after 36 holes stoke play qualifying and 3 rounds of knockout match play.Alan Ball shot 2 great rounds of 71 to lead the A grade qualifiers while Dieter Hajduk led B grade qualifiers,and Mike Laws led C grade.  Unfortunately these  number ones were all knocked out in the first round of match play.
