Wayne Fuller faced very stiff opposition in his match.Despite giving his usual honest effort and never dropping his competitive spirit, the match proved one-sided on the day. Wayne battled right through to the end, showing commitment to the team even when the result slipped away early.

Scott Blackmore delivered a gutsy performance in a match that swung back and forth all day. Trading blows hole for hole, Scott kept the pressure firmly on his opponent and never conceded an inch. Although he narrowly went down in the end, his fight and determination were outstanding for the team.

Allan Hockley a new member and welcome inclusion in the side produced a determined and disciplined performance in his B Grade pennant match. In a close contest that remained undecided deep into the round, Allan stayed focused and patient. His effort was rewarded with a well-earned win on the 17th hole, demonstrating grit and team spirit.

Breakers C Grade v Toukley at Magenta Shores.

Our Breakers C Grade team travelled to Magenta Shores to face a strong and competitive Toukley side. While the final result wasn’t what we were hoping for, there was plenty of fight and effort shown by our boys across all matches.

The team was led by Jason Gouw in a tightly contested match that saw multiple lead changes throughout the day. Unfortunately, Jason narrowly went down on the 18th, losing by just one hole after a terrific battle.

Mark Leary, playing his first pennants match in many years, made an impressive return. He got off to a flying start and held a solid lead heading into the back nine, before being reeled in late to eventually lose on the 18th, 2 down.

Darren Reeves faced a very competitive Toukley opponent and despite a determined effort, went down 4 and 3.

James Cameron’s match was closer than the score suggests, losing 3 and 2 in a contest that came down to a handful of crucial moments.

Well done team on how you all represented our club.
