"On the 28th of April Breakers Golf Club lost Jeff Perry,who passed away in Gosford hospital after an extended illness.Jeff (member number 0003) was a much loved Life Member and Patron of Breakers and will be sorely missed.Jeff loved the club,and the club loved Jeff.He served on committee for many years and managed our pennant teams,always with a smile and a friendly chat.Jeff loved hosting the Friday night members draw with Pete Crowder while keeping members up to date with club issues.We will miss Jeff but we will all have fond memories of a great bloke."

2 025 SENIOR PENNANT ROUND 1RESULTS OUTSTANDING WIN FOR ‘A’ GRADE What a great start to the Senior Pennant competition. It has been a quite a few years since Breakers entered an ‘A’ Grade side  in the District Pennant. Our first match was held at Toukley GC. Conditions were great for golf and our A, B and C grade teams fired up and ready to go. Our opponents for the first match, Kooindah Waters. A grade led the way with Greg Duval, Adam Knight, Nick Merritt  (Captain), Greg Swanson, Alan Ball and Phil Carter. Most of the matches were remarkably close and Phil Carter securing a  half in his match to give the team an Historic Victory, 3 ½ to 2 ½ win. Wins for Alan Ball, Nick Merritt and Greg Swanson. ‘ B’ GRADE ‘B’ Grade had a disappointing start to their 2025 Pennants campaign,  going down 2 ½ - 1 ½.  BREAKERS MEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP 2025 Sunday saw a field of four players per division with the match play format. Players were evenly matched with three of the groups going to the 18th hole for a result. There was some exciting tussles, no more so than Greg Swanson and Glenn Bainbridge , going down the 18th all square, Greg pushed his tee shot right, into the trees, Glenn a great drive down the middle, advantage Glenn, Greg took the penalty only to hit a magnificent 3rd shot to within 3 metres of the pin, Glenn came up short to the right for 2, his 3rd shot, a chip landed on the ridge in the middle of the green but did not roll out to the pin, which was located at the back of the green, thus was still short for 4. Greg sank a great putt for a par 4 and took the match. A special mention has got to go to our one and only terrier, Stephen Adlard down by 2 at the 12 to fight his way back to win 4 holes in a row and take the match 2 and 1.
