I’m incredibly proud to share that the Harvey Norman Erina Charity Golf Day has raised $10,500 for Dementia Australia.
What began as a simple idea for a golf day grew into something far more meaningful — made possible by the generosity, support, and community spirit of so many people.
To our major sponsors — Harvey Norman Erina, Bosch, LJ Hooker Terrigal, Pine Needles Erina, Brisbane Water Glass, The Stevens Group, The Vicary Family, Sorella Law, Interior Makeovers, Swells Restaurant Terrigal, and Salty Living — thank you for getting behind this day in such a big way. Your support was instrumental in bringing it all together.
To our major prize donors — Harvey Norman Erina (Electrical and Computers),Bosch, Hisense, Smeg, All Fired Up, Drummond Golf, Voco Gosford and the Central Coast Mariners — thank you for your generosity and for adding something extra special to the day.
To all the players who took part, thank you
for turning up, pushing through the weather, and embracing the true spirit of
the event. Your attitude and camaraderie made the day what it was. And that
full rainbow stretching across the course early on felt like a pretty special
moment — Someone was looking down and showing their support.
A big thank you to Breakers Country Club for
hosting us and putting on a fantastic meal for both presentation sessions. It
was the perfect way to bring everyone together at the end of each shotgun
round.
One of the most powerful moments of the day
was the presentation video, sharing photos of Breakers golf members and
sponsors families who have been impacted by dementia. It was a heartfelt and
humbling reminder of exactly why this day matters.
To Nicky and AJ, thank you for your huge effort on the day, to Tracey, Madison,Julie, Deb, Jenny, Kylie, Nic and Jane (my volunteer Angels) I Thankyou all. Days like these don’t happen without volunteers.
I would also like to sincerely thank Mounties
for their generous contribution, and my Uncle and Auntie, Graeme and Kerrie
Chilvers, for their incredibly generous donation and for being there on the day
— it truly meant a lot.
Captain Peter Crowder thanks for your efforts and support.
And finally to
Wayne Fuller. Your guidance, support, and
belief in this event from the very beginning are the reasons it became a
reality. Quite simply, this day would not have happened without you.
This was more than just a golf day — it was a community coming together for a cause that touches so many lives. Thank you to everyone who played a part.
Regards,
Mark Chilvers 🌶
