Captain’s Notes for Friday Draw 10 July 2026

*Super Seniors

 Had their first match here at Breakers against Wyong and were victorious 5 – 3. Return match at Wyong next Monday.

 *Course conditions of Play for Weekend 11/12 July

Throughout the weekend, the course will be Compulsory Tee Up through the green. Shortened 8th hole from the temporary tee, near the 2nd Tee.

 *Change of Indexing

With the event of the 3 New Greens. The match committee decided to carry out a survey to see if there would be any need to change the indexing. There are several holes where the index will change, notable the 3rd and the 7th, to name but two. If you are using the App, this will automatically advise you of the new index and what shots you get on that hole.

If you are still using a card, the index changes will also automatically change when the card is printed.

This ONLY affects the Men’s Card.

*Motorised carts

No motorised carts this Saturday and Sunday.

2 025 SENIOR PENNANT ROUND 1RESULTS OUTSTANDING WIN FOR ‘A’ GRADE What a great start to the Senior Pennant competition. It has been a quite a few years since Breakers entered an ‘A’ Grade side  in the District Pennant. Our first match was held at Toukley GC. Conditions were great for golf and our A, B and C grade teams fired up and ready to go. Our opponents for the first match, Kooindah Waters. A grade led the way with Greg Duval, Adam Knight, Nick Merritt  (Captain), Greg Swanson, Alan Ball and Phil Carter. Most of the matches were remarkably close and Phil Carter securing a  half in his match to give the team an Historic Victory, 3 ½ to 2 ½ win. Wins for Alan Ball, Nick Merritt and Greg Swanson. ‘ B’ GRADE ‘B’ Grade had a disappointing start to their 2025 Pennants campaign,  going down 2 ½ - 1 ½.  BREAKERS MEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP 2025 Sunday saw a field of four players per division with the match play format. Players were evenly matched with three of the groups going to the 18th hole for a result. There was some exciting tussles, no more so than Greg Swanson and Glenn Bainbridge , going down the 18th all square, Greg pushed his tee shot right, into the trees, Glenn a great drive down the middle, advantage Glenn, Greg took the penalty only to hit a magnificent 3rd shot to within 3 metres of the pin, Glenn came up short to the right for 2, his 3rd shot, a chip landed on the ridge in the middle of the green but did not roll out to the pin, which was located at the back of the green, thus was still short for 4. Greg sank a great putt for a par 4 and took the match. A special mention has got to go to our one and only terrier, Stephen Adlard down by 2 at the 12 to fight his way back to win 4 holes in a row and take the match 2 and 1.
