Hippy Hippy Shake Social Night
What a great night!
More than 70 members and guests attended our Hippy Hippy Shake Social Night, and the disco certainly went down a treat, with no shortage of dancing throughout the evening.
DJ Alan Ball kept the music flowing, and at one stage we even had the Conga snaking its way around the room!
Plenty of members got into the spirit of the evening and dressed up in their best ’60s outfits. Congratulations to our Best Dressed winners:
Gents: Neil Carr
Ladies: Jacqueline Carr
A big thank you to Matthew from Breakers for generously donating the wine for prizes
.
🏆 Trophy Presentation
The evening also provided an opportunity to celebrate the success of our C Grade District Pennant winners.
Trophies and medals were presented by Lance Harrigan to Captain Jason Gouw, James Cameron, Darren Reeves, Nelson Taylor, Paul Pascoe and Lee Naylor.
Sally Hopkins received the District Challenge Cup on behalf of the team, as well as her medal for winning the Individual Ladies Trophy. Unfortunately, the other team members were unable to attend the presentation.
⛳ Putting Competition
The putting competition was keenly contested, with everyone determined to putt their way to victory!
A huge thank you to Bev and the team at McGrath Real Estate, Terrigal, for generously providing the winners’ prizes.
Congratulations to Faye, Nicky’s mum, and Brenda Punter, who putted their way past the rest of the field to take the honours.
❤️ Giving Back
It was also fantastic to see the evening supporting a very worthwhile cause.
All monies raised from the putting competition and the Lucky Squares board were donated to the Ladies Golf Club’s nominated charity, Wyong Palliative Care, with approximately $400 raised.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported the evening, dressed up, danced, competed and simply came along to enjoy the fun.
There was plenty of laughter, plenty of dancing and plenty of good times — exactly what a social night should be!
Many thanks to everyone who helped make the Hippy Hippy Shake such a memorable night.
