  Super Senior Golf  3rd round 28th July Breaker's Super Seniors team were back at home playing Shelly Beach both teams were evenly matched on paper and this reflected in the final score of 4 all. Any home advantage was negated due to the very gusty winds which we recon gave the advantage to Shelly Beach. It was an exciting finish with final group reached the 18th with Terrigal one up to win the day but alas the new green took its toll favouring the vistors, the hole was lost and the overall team score halved.   Congratulations to winners Greg Swanson, Glen Bainbridge, Pete Searle, halves to  Dean Osbourne, Rick Petrie. Losses to  Wayne Fuller, Warren Bu tts and Peter Crowder Waiting for the final pair on the 18th.

  Around the Green – Breakers Golf Club Highlights Grand Opening Weekend of the New 9th/18th Green A huge weekend of golf saw a full field on both Saturday and Sunday as members came together to celebrate the long-awaited Grand Opening of the new 9th/18th green at Breakers Golf Club. Saturday was made extra special with a complimentary sausage sizzle thanks to Mounties, while the club committee put on an impressive range of bonus prizes to keep the energy high and the competition fierce. The new green didn’t disappoint. Feedback from players was overwhelmingly positive, with many impressed by the smooth surface and fair challenge it offered. With a favourable pin position set by the ground staff, for Saturday and a little bit harder for Sunday players once they arrived on the green were impressed with the putting surface and with a scoring average of 5.65 the 18th lived up to it's No. 1 Index 🏌️‍♀️ Ladies Single Stableford (Saturday) 🏆 Winner: Aiki Harrigan – 38 points ?...

  FRIDAY CHATTER 25TH JULY Tomorrow Saturday 26th , rain hail or shine Grand Opening of 9/18th Green. Lots of prizes, Single and 4BBB Stableford with Special Prizes and a Sausage Sizzle between 11.30 and 12.30. 1. Longest putt sunk on the new green, $50.00 women and men categories. 2. Most Stableford Points on Front Nine and last Three Holes.    Most Stableford Points on Back Nine and last Three Holes. " Special score card will be issued for this event" "Two new drop zones are at the front of the 9/18th green. Please keep off new turf leading to the path." Sunday and Tuesday Men's competitions will also see extra prize money to celebrate the opening of the new green. COURSE PROJECTS UPDATES: 1. Nursery green on the first has been reseeded and will be utilised for repairing greens and a temporary green. Please respect the GUR in this area. 2.   NEWS FROM AROUND THE GREEN Mixed Keno Qualifier: Saturday saw 25 mixed teams compete in the 2025 Keno qualifier, with two teams progressing to Stage 2. The sun was shining, and the field is to be congratulated for finishing on time. The competition was fierce, but the Ambrose format ensured plenty of fun and camaraderie. Congratulations to the qualifiers:  First qualifiers  Peggy and Peter Searle – Gross 68, Net 59.25  Runnerups  Patty and Scott Beattie – Gross 70, Net 60. We wish both teams the best of luck at the regionals. Men’s Keno Qualifier: Tuesday brought out a strong field of 53 men’s teams for this year’s Keno qualifier. The pairing of Phil Carter (last week’s Monthly Mug winner) and Warren Nash (a 2024 qualifier) proved unstoppable, carding a Gross 63 and Net 57.25.   SUPER SENIORS GOLF 21st July Today Breaker's Super Seniors team travelled to Wyong to play Wyong, the weather was great and Breakers looked good on paper but alas the home ground advantage favoured Wyong taking the win with 5 to 3.  Congratulations to our top order with wins to Dean Osborne and Steve Adlard. Greg Swanson and Rob Michelson halved their closely contested matches. Losses to Rick Petrie, Wayne Fuller, Glen Bainbridge and Pete Searle.
